Nicki Minaj will be accompanied Gucci Mane, Bella Thorne,Tommy Dorfman and Yoo Ah-in as a brand ambassador for Diesel’s Fall/Winter 2018 “Hate Couture” collection, which features pieces covered with hateful comments each of these stars have received on social media.
A portion of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to the Only The Brave Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports anti-bullying programs.
We’re just a little confused given everything happening currently with Nicki and fellow rapper Cardi B. Not only that but Nicki is known to send her die-hard fans to attack people. It’s actually bigger than just the Cardi beef.
It seems like we weren’t the only ones confused because Twitter went up in a frenzy about it. Diesel responded to one tweet saying “We’re here to support anyone who’s getting hated on, and Nicki is one of them.”
In my opinion this just seems like a publicity stunt and a chance to make some good coin and if it is, Diesel is very smart marketing wise. This is also going to help Nicki with album sales. I mean it’s bad that they’re using a situation like this to elevate but it is bringing awareness to the actual cause. At the same time, aren’t Cardi and Nicki both bullying each other? The sneak dissing in rhymes, interviews, etc? What about Nicki sending fans on people? Diesel is choosing sides and they’re choosing the barb side. I think this topic will be discussed for a while. What does Diesel actually consider as bullying? So much controversy around something that’s supposed to be positive.
They’re tired of people making Nicki the bad guy.
Why can’t we all just get along? Stop cyber-bullying period. Check out the ad below:
