Rap’s favorite project baby was released from prison early Saturday morning. The “Roll in Peace” rapper was released from Broward County Jail early Saturday morning after serving 7 months. He was serving time for 2 probation violations after being arrested in January. Given the charges he was facing, he was supposed to spend up to 12 years in prison but some charges were dropped. He was still going to have a release date in October but the judge had mercy on him and knocked some time off.
Should we be expecting a First Day Out track from Kodak? Maybe, but also maybe not. While is jail, Kodak seems to have changed his life around. Whilst in jail, Kodak has been taking GED classes and even parenting classes. Young Kodak is learning how to soothe a crying baby and clean up boom booms. What a time to be alive. We’re very proud of him for making a positive change in his life. He also went and legally changed his name from Dieuson Octave, his birth name, to Bill K. Kapri. It is said he just wants a brand new clean start and as you can see from the above video, he’s keeping mum about what he’s feeling. He seems a little more humbled and ready to take on the world a free man.
Congrats to Kodak! Can’t wait to see what he has in store.
